I've read couple of Russian books about shamanism, it was very interesting to plunge into this culture - the shaman sickness concept, their communication with creatures of the parallel worlds, it was a main religion on our North before Christianity...
What the shamanism is for you? Maybe you have already covered up this question and could cope some your links...

I do have a shamanism tag if you'd like to look through it, but I don't talk about it as much as I probably should. I also have a shamanism filter if you'd like to be added. I share some of my more personal shamanic journeys there.

I'm a Reiki Master in the Medicine Reiki tradition. Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan. My Reiki Master was attuned to 'traditional' reiki long ago, and then he lived with the Cree Indians for 20 years. He saw how Cree Medicine wisdom worked really well with reiki work, and he founded the Medicin Reiki tradition, which is very heavily influenced by Cree spirituality. It's very earth-based and utilizes a lot of ritual and totem work.

After my Reiki Master attunement in 2005, I was led/drawn to shamanism. I started reading, studying, and practicing on my own. It's been a very powerful experience for me, and I get a lot from it when I keep up regular practice. I kind of neglected it for a while, but I've recommitted recently.

"I also have a shamanism filter if you'd like to be added. "

Of course I'd like! Orthodox Christians are against the old traditions or rather against all knowledges but I don't see no contradictions here if base human laws are not violated.

There are nowadays many new cults which are treating people, earning money and people claim that they are the followers of old traditions. In Russia though there are now innumerable amount of charlatans and real clairvoyants.

I've added you!

That's so interesting to hear what it's like in other countries. It's a shame that there are charlatans taking advantage, but at least people aren't being persecuted for practicing anymore.

I'm very intrigued by cults on an educational level. I've been reading about them and watching documentaries. I'd like to write a story about a cult one day, and while they're horrible situations, they're interesting to learn from as far as human nature.
