This is one of my favorite novels of all time.

It was undoubtedly masterfully written, but I couldn't bring myself to add it to my favorites shelf. It's just so terribly heartbreaking that I'm not sure I could call it that at all. But it's definitely one everyone should read.

It definitely was heartbreaking. A lot of my favorite books aren't my favorites because I'm left feeling good but because I'm left feeling changed, and this book definitely changed me.

That's a great way to put it. I'm glad I bought this one. I'll have the girls read it next.
