Bringing Back LJ

Apr 20, 2014 15:40

A couple of friends and I have resolved to do our parts to breathe some life back into livejournal. LJ is too awesome to give up on. Care to join us in our pledge to resume real, quality activity here? I'll add you to our pledge list if you like, and we can all help & support each other! We're going to be getting a tree for Bella as well. I did not want to do so until we move. The property we're getting has been in Jeremy's family for awhile - we are the 3rd generation to own it. I think we will go with a flowering pear or a cherry tree. Both are pretty and grow quickly.

I look forward to reading more of your writings. Please make sure that I am on your writing filter.

Sounds lovely! Josh suggested a cherry tree, though he's worried since all the fruit trees we've tried to plant have died. :/

You are indeed on my writing filter! Not the poetry one, though, so let me know if I should add you to that as well.

Thanks so much!

Please do. I like seeing all of the parts a person is willing to share. :)

Done! And in that case, I added you to my emergency contacts (so you an get my addy & phone that's linked in my top post - I thought you were already on there) and shamanism filters too, since I noticed that you weren't on.

I read here everyday and still have a couple of pretty active communities .. But I really miss the LJ of old. FB had made us all lazy.

Glad to know others are still here! But I agree with you completely. FB has made everyone lazy. I even avoided it for years, too, before assimilating. I do like FB, but I miss the deeper connections I used to find here on LJ.

I'm not sure I will post much more than I have been, life is just too busy, but I do hope to try to get a few posts in a month. I read LJ about once a week to see who is posting.

If I'm not on your writing filter you can add me. I love reading though I can't promise how active I'll be, especially in the next month.

At the end of the street I grew up on, the couple who own the last house on the street built a meditation park for the public to use on half of their property. When my mom died they planted a red maple in her memory. While I haven't been back there in years I like knowing it I there. I hope your memorial for your mom brings you peace and remembrance of good things.

I've been really bad about both reading and commenting, so I'm going to try to do better. I skim when I can, but I don't interact nearly as much as I used to.

You are indeed on my writing filter, though not on writing-related poetry or nanowrimo filters, so let me know if you want on those.

That park sounds lovely! As does your mother's memorial tree. Thank you for the kind wishes wrt my mom's! I will add red maple to my list to consider.

aim to read your story. maggie the reformed bella? hm. :) not sure when, though. school has me wiped out. i'm here (lj) but slowly. new name, new anonymous presence will hopefully equal more frequent and sometimes deeper posts. we'll see, though. if my brain doesn't explode from too much psych reading.

maybe read up on some tree energies and see which one fits your mum the best?

Oh, nice name! See? I have been out of the loop.

I hope you like my story whenever you get to it! Please let me know what you think.

I will definitely do some reading, but I also need to check around and see what's even available around here. :/
