Crazy About Monkey Bread

I do believe that this baby might be coming soon. I just hope it waits until at least Tuesday! Although tomorrow *night* could theoretically work...

I was so tired last night & this morning. My legs and back were really sore, so Josh cleaned out the tub and made me a nice bubble bath with rose bath salts (which he made for me). So sweet! I got out ( Read more... )

Cross your legs! I don't do shared birthdays either, so when no. 3 was due just before my husband and my birthdays (we're two days apart), I had a very tense couple of days making sure she didn't come. As it turned out, it was another ten days after that, but I'm a firm believer in the mind being able to help you out if you want it to.

Of course, you are having a Leo and we all know the world revolves around them, so maybe he'll have completely different ideas!

What's monkey bread? Banana bread?

I'm sure trying! lol I did tell Ivy that 1) If the baby came on her bday, it's just because s/he obviously loves Ivy so much that s/he wanted to be connected to her and be her best birthday present & 2) We can celebrate on its half-birthday or another day. I do seem to have a habit of changing birthdays around here. :P

Monkey bread is awesome! If you've never had it, you surely must. It's this kind of pull apart, cinnamony, pseudo-gooey (but this one wasn't too gooey) bread. Sometimes it has raisins or other dried fruits in it, but I went easy this time. I used this recipe.

Monkey bread is goooood. There's also a simple version of the recipe on the Pioneer Woman's site, where you cut up canned biscuits and coat those pieces.

I hope the baby cooperates so you don't have to share birthdays in your household.

Thank you! Yeah, I kept finding recipes that used refrigerated dough of some sort, but I knew it was the real nesting/baking deal when I went in search of harder, homemade recipes. lol

My monkey bread was good, but needs some work. I'll just have to practice more! :D
