I don't usually write about politics. Most often, I try to ignore it and just do my own civic duty.

But one post for therealljidol really stuck out. intrepia wrote an exceptional essay, and I'm duty-bound to urge you to take a look.

I loved her essay. I almost wrote a similar post, urging people to look at it, but I try not to get into a pattern where I'm recommending other people's entries. Then, I feel guilty, when I can't mention everyone, and people's feelings get hurt, and it makes a whole bunch of drama. I hate drama!

I understand that feeling. I'm the same way. Still, when I find something that resonates so strongly, I usually have no compunctions about pimping. That, to me, is what blogs are all about - finding good ones and sharing them!
