Yarrr! That sounds like so much fun! AYK, I've been having a blast being a facebook pirate. The other day I got together for a family dinner (not Thanksgiving, that was last month) with an aunt and great-cousin (or cousin once removed, or however that all works) and my family..and my sister and I were just all.. 'and I can't *believe* you bombed me the other day..I was sooo mad at you!'. Heh, I make us sound a bit like valley girls. LOL and the other day we were at the bookstore buying books for G's nephew..and I would only pick out pirate storybooks. That's not new, though. I've got a small library of pirate books for kids. And G purchased 2 more for me that night-- he said it's all good, they'll be there for when we have our little ones...

..and I've been a pirate lass long before Jack Sparrow also. I've been collecting children's books for about a decade..and have that kids site (which I have't updated in a dogs age..it doesn't even have any of the Pirates Of The Caribbean movies listed on it- that's how long it's been... http://pirateannie.fateback.com)
Crossing my fingers for sudden inspiration for you..

Thanks! I'll take a look a that. So is that where I can find your recommendations for the best pirate kids books? The girls would love that come Christmas!

And thanks for the encouragement! I actually have had some inspiration, but it's mainly lack of time at this point. We've got so much going on right now, I haven't been able to write in days. :(

Oh dear, since the husband regularly turns Talk Like a Pirate Day into Talk Like a Pirate Week, I can imagine you guys running around "ARRRRRGGGHHHHing" everyone in site.

Thank you! But I'm afraid I spoke too soon. Oh, I got a plague. An awful, hideous plague. I'm on the mend now, though. *knock on wood*
