With the Russians now owning Livejournal, and their new anti-LGBT ToS in place (among other restrictions), I doubt I’ll be posting here much anymore, if at all. Oh yeah, if you’ve got a permanent account it makes sense that you’d stay. I have a paid account that I’m going to let go down to a free one.
I hate to leave LJ but I talk too much about my LGBT writing and other slashy fandom stuff to take the chance of the Russians deleting my journal entirely. I want to keep it as an archive.

I'll stay on LJ as well for the time being - most of my posts here mostly concern health or weather :-) But there's no way I'll move to facebook, even though I know a lot of people who are on it. I don't trust it at all. Tumblr has been mentioned a few times as an alternative to LJ, but I can't make sense of Tumblr.

I agree that FB isn’t the place for true conversations. I had to open up an account there for my author stuff. That’s where my lifeblood is for my writing. So that’s why I wanted to at least move to DW, for those types of deeper interactions with my friends. And Tumblr? Oh heck no. My eyes glazed over the first time I went there and I never went back! LOL!

I'll follow you on facebook - I go by my real name there, Pamela Buickel. I don't post anything fannish to FB, though, because family is there. But I do read and am happy to participate.
