I decided to skip seeing Lewis Trondheim at Bergen St Comics, and went to NerdNYC boardgame night. Here’s what I played:

Rise!

Out of curiosity, do you remember what level you played Pandemic on? (I.e., how many Epidemic cards were in the deck?)

I think we used the simplest level, because I hadn't played before. Either four or five Epidemic cards.

I love Pandemic. I can play that game for hours -- but I've only won it naturally a handful of times (versus controlling roles and # of players).

Oooh, that Puerto Rico edition is beautiful!

I haven't played Pandemic but I got a copy of Yggdrasil, another cooperative-save-the-world game. Alas, Kimberly decided it looked "too role-gamey" and it's been sitting on the shelf since purchase.

There's now an Yggdrasil rpg from Cubicle 7. Maybe you can convince her that what you have really is a board game now.
