Today I was watching some delightful videos on YouTube where Ray Comfort, the guy best known for coming up with the banana argument for intelligent design, had a debate with Thunderfoot, a prominent YouTube athiest. It's nothing new -- I think it's been up online for quite a while -- but I just now got around to watching it. And it kind of pissed

He is actually going about it wrong. Monkeys have proven time and again it's no use struggling with the 'stem' of a banana. You just flip it over and pinch the bottom to open it.

I once attended a big skeptics conference in Vegas. They invited a huge bunch of science nerds and a handful of "media skeptics" like Penn & Teller and the Mythbusters guys. During one panel, the nerds were all sitting around prattling off nerdy stuff like, "How can we better target a wider demographic of blah-blah-blah ..." until Penn lost it and launched into a "YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG" rant.

The following year, and ever year after that, they put most the media skeptics on their own panel. Silly media skeptics.

Well, my mantra as far as reasoned debate goes has always been FISTS NOT WORDS MOTHERFUCKERS and I've never lost an argument with anyone who weights less than I do.
