Agnes Scott College class of 1938 celebrates at reunion - From the AJC

Bertha Holt sipped wine Saturday evening and laughed over dinner with five other Agnes Scott College classmates for their 70th anniversary reunion.

Yes, you read that right - 70th, as in, Class of 1938.

I was sitting at the awards luncheon on Friday with a group of '03s when Elsie asked to sit with us. She chattered like a teenager with her strands of pearls dangling into her lap and her manicured fingernails digging into the bread. How she was married twice. How attending Agnes was only $800 back in the day, which was still a small fortune. And then when she saw one of her '38 classmates, and they both teared up, it was the sweetest thing.

It was incredibly adorable and also very moving to talk to her and hear how Agnes Scott affected her life. It was probably one of my most memorable moments at Agnes Scott, even though it occurred well after my own graduation. :D I hope to be just like her at my own 70th reunion!
