FAQ About Registered Mail :
Q: How much do i need to pay for Registered Mail ?
A : For registered mail , Singpost charges additional $2.25 to the overall normal postage charge (according to the weight of package ).
Eg . Registered mail postage charges = Normal mail postage + $2.25.
The $2.25 is paid fully to Singpost.
Q: What is the difference between normal mail and registered mail ?
A: The difference between registered mail and normal mail is that you will get to have a tracking number which is the Registered Article Number ( RA no. ) and you can track the status of the parcel and anticipate its arrival. Postman will personally deliver the package to your door step.
Q: What if no one is at home to receive the registered mail parcel ?
A: In any case that no one is at home , the postman will leave a Singpost Notification Slip to inform you of the unsucessful delivery and will require you to head to the nearest Singpost branch stated in the notification slip to collect the parcel ( please bring along your I/C and the notification slip if you are collecting the parcel from singpost branch ).
Alternatively you may wish to go to http://www.singpost.com.sg to reschedule another delivery.
However if you have not claimed your parcel within 10 days after they have issued you the notification slip , the parcel will be returned to the sender .
