Waking Up

Kim's sitting by a lake. 'The lake outside the bar' she knows instinctively. A dark haired woman sits next to her and puts her arm around her shoulder.
"Mom," She wraps her arms around her, "You're back."
Teri brushes the hair off her face but doesn't say anything.
"My memories of the bar...of things that happened here, they're real?"

Chris had been looking out window, watching the rain fall when she heard Kim move around in her sleep. She looks over briefly, expecting her to wake up but when she doesn't Chris goes back to looking out the window.

A few moments later she hears Kim crying. Getting up from the chair, Chris walks over.

"Kim? Kim, what's wrong?

Yes, well Chris is Ryan's daughter and we all saw how good he was at dealing with Tony.

"I don't know Nita very well but I know Elaine. She's my father's girlfriend. Do you remember my father? Ryan Chappelle?"

Kim nods. "He was trying to find me...no wait, he died, no, he..."

"Yes. You've seen two universes. In that one he was alive and trying to find you and your father. In the one we both come from, he died."

[agirllost]

"I've seen..." She feels a sharp pain in her head and she curls up tighter. "That -- I..."

[geeky_agent]

"I'm sorry, this is too much right now," Chris says with a worried frown.

"Is there anything you need?"

[agirllost]

'My mom' she thinks.

"No," she whispers, wiping at her face.

She looks so lost. Chris wasn't sure if there was anything she could do or say that would help Kim right now.

"Ok, if you're sure," Chris says softly and stands up from the bed.

Without thinking, Kim reaches out and grabs onto her hand. "Don't go."

"I won't go," Chris says and sits back down on the bed.

[agirllost]

Kim lets go, "I'm sorry, I just...I can't be alone right now."

[geeky_agent]

"It's ok, I understand. I'll be here for however long you need me to be."

[agirllost]

"I keep looking at my hand, I remember the pain but it's not there anymore. I've never...I don''t know...what's real."

[geeky_agent]

"I think it'll get easier with time. You've been through a lot these past few weeks."

[agirllost]

"I hope so. How long was I...?"

[geeky_agent]

"About two weeks."
