It seems like a whirlwind now but this is the news: Marcello had a mini-stroke on Saturday and is now recuperating in hospital. Luckily his speech and movement are fine and while he has yet to get up and move, things could have been much worse - at the time he was dizzy, had a headache and threw up a lot, but could still talk and I called an ( Read more... )

Yes! Always call the ambulance if someone says "Do you know what is happening to me" and your immediate answer is "No."

Luckily he is back home now and has various medications to take, but is much better!

Thanks! M came home the other day but we have both been resting this past weekend as being a carer is surprisingly exhausting. He's still recuperating but has a week off, which should help in bringing him back to normal...taking him to my doctor's to register there today. I always end up doing official things on my birthday...

Oh my goodness! Glad you were able to get him to hospital so quickly. Best of luck for his swift recovery (or as swift as these things can be) and that he's home with you soon.

Thanks so much! Speed is really important, even with a mini-stroke, as his blood pressure needed to come down right away. He's been back with me for a few days and is still in need of some speech therapy but is otherwise fine...
