There is no such thing as a shotgun...

That does what I need this one to do for my plot.

Mainly because the design is completely stupid, redundant, and unnecessary. Apparently you can build a double-barreled shotgun with pump action, but no one makes one. For obvious reasons, now that I've thought about it.

You know, the dude's a sorcerer, so he totally could have. But the more I think about it the stupider it sounds, plus Ben twits him on "not doing the research."

I fixed it, and it was easier than I thought it would be. I'm just whiny. LOL

Is there any other kind of semi-exotic man-portable weapon that could be made to serve roughly the same purpose for your story? Maybe shifting gun types slightly would do the trick for you.

Nah, I fixed it and got to keep the line where Ben busts the guy's chops for not doing his research (wherein guy pumps the shotgun to show how OMG SERIOUS HE IS, and is surprised when a shell flies out).

Once I fix the other issues with the thing, I'll post it for y'all to tear into. :)
