I like his sitting at Janni's feet as a comfort thing. It screams "take care of me."

Seriously, I've beaten him so hard in this thing that I don't think anyone could realistically get up from it. Which is why I'm probably going to abandon it. Woe.

Well. I'm not necessarily abandoning it completely. But if the first novel doesn't sell, then there's no sense in finishing this one, because it's in no way a standalone and can't be made into one. I learned a lot by writing it, so it wasn't a waste of time by any means--and if the first one sells, then I'll definitely come back to it. But it's as back-burnered as it can possibly be right now while I write stuff that has an actual possibility of actually selling.

I hate the vagaries of this business.
