Love her fic but don't want to get into the ring with her *G*. She dropped me from her flist and I finally did the same because I was too tempted from time to time. I did answer her queries a few times on the subject of rape (speaking as a survivor) but ...oh well.... I'll just leave it at that. I am a "Humanist" and want ALL people treated equally and fairly and that is a problem.

I just got a flurry of ten very rude comments on a two-year-old post, and it's making me cranky. Seriously, why can't people just look at the discussion and boggle silently? I'm thisclose to turning comments off on it.

To her everlasting credit, it's not Gin being rude, it's the other person. I just don't get why people feel the need to pick a fight on a two-year-old post. I don't mind the occasional "Wow *boggle*" comments I get on the thing, but today's thing just really rubbed me the wrong way.

I'd love to start a fight with her, but... 1) I've banned her in my own LJ. 2) Ginmar and I have at least one good friend in common, and I wouldn't put her in that uncomfortable position. 3) I'm not a masochist.

I have NO idea. And the person who started the flamewar again is apparently a sock of some sort with a (mostly) empty LJ (one entry I can see) and userinfo that's remarkably...scant. And really, I can't be arsed to track down an anonymouse to see what's the what, because I'm rather paralyzed with not caring that much.

Well, Gin is blaming some "Belledame" person, who she's apparently had recent dustups with on some feminist blog or other, over prostitution and porn, of all things? I found this, but I haven't seen anything on F_W or OTF. Maybe daisydeadhead looked on the wiki?

What that has to do with me, I have no idea. And why resurrect that poor dead horse?

sigh, yeah, apologies. It..would take too long to explain from beginning to end and not worth it, really. Really brief (!) version, okay: I'd gotten into various dustups with ginmar on my own over the past, oh year or so? somewhere in there someone had directed me to that post you mention, which indeed i had looked at in silent bogglement, as no doubt had many before me. later, when other pals of mine had their own entertainingly bizarre flameouts with her, I'd point them in the direction of it as well, as a kind of, no, it's -not- just you, and further, for the quintessential gin experience and a rollicking good (if kind of unsettling and sad) time, check -this- out. publicly. a few times, here and there

Well, it's not your fault. FWIW, I know of at least one person that Gin defriended because she simply linked to the post in question.

But if people want to brawl with her, then they should do it in their own LJs. She'll find it; she found that one six months after the fact...
