I dragged us out of bed at silly o'clock this morning, and we wandered over to Cougar Park, which is supposedly one of the best places in Salt Lake County for seeing Burrowing Owls

I can wax poetic about my roses and their genealogy, but when it comes to birds, I know sparrows, finches, blue jays, cardinals, robins, and mourning doves. That is fairly pitiful. I shall strive to do better!

That dragonfly shot is awesome.

Well, the camera did all the work on the dragonfly shot. It's not like my old camera, where I had to focus everything myself. :)

I took an ornithology class in college as part of my biology major. It appears to have stuck. LOL

Those are some amazing shots! Particularly the butterfly and dragonfly.
