I was actually very surprised how powerful the wizards were in Reaper Man, which I just finished. The Dean just keeps flinging TONS of fireballs at the shopping carts.

Huh! For some reason I always thought of the wizards as very low powered (except for Hex). Well, I'm glad that was just my brain failing me, and not Pratchett's.

Well, it struck me as pretty out-of-character in Reaper Man, too, though. Maybe we're just too accustomed to Rincewind?

And to the wizards just sitting around eating while Hex does all the work. (I love Hex.)
