Small moment of John Castle-style passion...

Damn it - I've got enough going on right now. I DO NOT need that dog barking endlessly in the apartment next door. Instead of murdering the beast (with the shards of the door I will have to tear through to get to him) I will share a brilliant poem by the even more brilliant Billy Collins:

Another reason why I don't keep a gun in the house

Heh. With me it is a cat, rather than a dog. Izzy, I call her, when she comes to visit, since I have no idea what her real name is or who she belongs to.

Early morning visits I can live with. It is nice, to have a pet without responsibility. But she has a bad habit of caterwauling - usually at 2am. Grr. Not what you need when trying to sleep.

So, my sympathies over the dog.

I'm definitely a cat person - 12 cat offenses=1 doggie offense. Still, caterwauling is no picnic...

I can forgive the Izzy cat for making noise. She arrived on my kitchen windowsil while I was washing up last night and, on being let in, made it clear that she expected me to sit and cuddle her, and that she was planning to settle in for the night...of course, she then woke me up at 1am wanting to be let back out.

Hope that dog is quieter today!

Of course you like the header. ;-)
Love this Castle icon - new?
YOUR doggie is adorable and I'm sure would *never* bark and annoy the neighbors.

I must say, Virginia (aka The World's Most Wonderful Boston Terrier -- which is saying a lot, since Bostons are the World's Most Wonderful Dogs, not that I'm biased) is wonderful. She has several distinct barks, such as the "There are goats in our yard" bark, the "It's the UPS/FedEx truck" bark, the "A stranger's on the front porch" bark, and the all important "Is that field on fire?" bark (a very useful bark to have). And that's really it. Once she's communicated her point -- all of which are "good to know" items I like to be informed about -- she goes back to her silent patrol, aka her nap. LOL ( ... )
