Sorry for the badly worded post, I'm not in Colorado - I was speaking in a fandom community sense. (I don't want to give the impression I'm on the front lines.)
Honestly though - a huge portion of my actual friends were at midnight showings and it could have been any one of us. It's really, really terrible. And I feel personally violated, even though it's not my physical, real-world community.
It's so awful when these things happen - I'm always shocked and hurt by it, which I suppose is a good reaction, because I'd hate to ever not feel that way... and goodness yes, it so easily be any one of us. *more hugs*
