I am not dead (yet)

I really think I should MAKE myself post every day - regardless of how boring that would be for you or whiny I will appear - just to keep myself from mentally seizing up... That seems to be what happens when I don't go online much. True, I *have* been busy and with stuff that's not very post-worthy. And my computer is still touch-and-go at times ( Read more... )

It's SOOOO good to hear from you! *hugs*

No, Ishmael won't spoil you for season two happenings. Go for it!

Incidentally, I can't remember if Season One (Season Two was much, much better, as I recall) used any of those sets/stock scenes I thought looked familiar from WWW and BG.

My best to Zelda (so glad she's doing well!), you, and your aunt. *hugs*

The first season of Here Come the Brides is on DVD? ::speculative expression:: By all means read Ishmael - it's so long ago since I saw the show, but when I read Ishmael in my late teens when the show was still fresh in my head, I loved what Barbara Hambly did to develop the characters.

Yes, season one is available - It's *agonizing* not to have season two as well... I just *hate* only having half the story in my head. I'm glad the book doesn't have spoilers - I will definitely be reading it and would hate for it to ruin the season two experience (when I eventually have it.)

You might have missed this announcement while you were away:

However, these are 16" and not 12", so they would not fit with all your decorations.
Still, I'm tempted for that Jack... despite the price. His hair looks awful in this picture, but if you look at this, I quite like it:

AUGH!!! I don't know if I'm thrilled or indifferent... On the "I could care less" side, they are too large, far too expensive, and really not all that well done (in light of the fact I can sew and probably do just as good or better with enough time.) On the OMGWTFMUSTHAVE side of things, I see a 10 and Martha there too and they *are* super-awesome in their own right. WHY DOES THIS HAVE TO BE SO HARD???

Thanks for the lead - I've really been out of the loop. But AUUUUGGGGGHHHH!

I hear ya! You know, at first I had not even realized the price. My Stargate Jack and Daniel did cost a quarter of that Jack here. So I somehow expected something along those lines ( ... )

Well, I have an extremely selfish reason to want you to post more: you always talk about shows I have loved at some point in my life! (And, in the case, a book as well--read it! For the saloon scene alone... *g*) I watched HCTB when it first aired. And being, what, eight or so, I was completely in love with Bobby Sherman. In fact, I still have, er a couple of 45s. I saw the show again years later and, um, yeah my eight-year-old self had different tastes. *g* Still, nostalgia up the wazoo! And BV! Man. Go on, watch some more... *g*

I'm utterly fascinated how many of my friends have not only heard of HCTB, but are fangirls... I've never even *heard* of it - I think it was our the years of my childhood we didn't have a tv and then never went into syndication or something...?

I think Sherman is gorgeous, but don't really connect with his character. David Soul's character interests me a lot, but he doesn't. And the guy who plays Jason is hot, but his character bugs me... So... I'm sure one day it will all click into place and I'll eat all those words. ;-)

Big Valley rocks my world. Oh yes.
