Believe it or not, the thing I remember him best for is singing on The Good Old Days (a recreation of Victorian Music Hall that ran on UK tv for many years). He had a lovely singing voice, and he sang those old ballads perfectly.
His best selling album was 'Edwardian Woodward' - great title, eh?
You know, I never actually knew he had albums until the obit today - I know I've heard him sing before though. I will definitely have to look into them.
