Ross Martin: Twilight Zone pic spam

My love for Ross Martin has started to spiral out of control... eldritchhobbit and I have moved on to other RM projects and OMG, the awesomeness is plentiful. Most of which I probably won't foist on you, but the Twilight Zone episodes demanded to be screen capped...

Note: As *I* define "spoiler", the caps under the cuts should be labeled as such - But my ( Read more... )

Lovely caps! Thanks so much for sharing!

I was so impressed with his role in "The Four of Us Are Dying." Again, great use of The Voice. I think RM said in his interview about it that they shot the entire thing perfectly on the first take, and ended up essentially done for the day by 10:30am!

And wow, "Death Ship" was intense - thanks, in large part, to how well they sold the strained and bristly dynamic between RM's and JK's characters. Once again, RM turns on a dime repeatedly, from one powerful emotion to another. I think my favorite moment may have been when he turned "his" body over and recognized it for the first time. He did this sob/laugh thing where it was clear he didn't know if he should be morbidly amused or absolutely horrified. That seemed like such a genuine reaction to me, and it was subtle, too, there and gone in a blink.

I want my own Rocket Bureau card! (I cracked up re: the manual typewriters. Indeed.) And this is an epic shot, methinks. Maybe even wallpaper worthy ( ... )

That was such an extraordinary reaction/bit of acting it actually threw me a bit... I had to back up and rewatch it a few times to absorb it properly. Absolutely sublime. RM does an *amazing* job with every single moment of this character (who is on a roller coaster the entire time.)

PS: Capping made it clear that he was actually *crying* at the end of that sequence... http://pics.livejournal.com/agentxpndble/pic/003t1745

Did you ever see him in the film Experiment in Terror?

I'm dying to see it - But having trouble finding a free/easy copy... Eldritchhobit just emailed me that she found one, but I haven't had time to ask her where it came from.

Also want to see his run in Mr. Lucky (but can't afford the unofficial sets out in internetland.)
