ProsWatch: Wild Justice

I have trouble with this episode like others have with Close Quarters or a couple others I like but others don't... There are some really awesome bits in this one but for the most part, I find Bodie unrecognizable. You'd think I'd be all over "dark, vicious, stradling-the-edge-of-sanity, still-waters-run-deep Bodie" but it just doesn't come ( Read more... )

I'm another one who has a hard time with parts of this episode.
It just makes me wonder what's been going on. They've been together (as a team! ;)) for quite a while now, but something is keeping them from connecting (at least for me).
And the car door moment is an eye roller for me.

This is my first time through Pros, and this episode confused me a bit, and I couldn't figure out why. You've provided the answer, too 80's American Hollywood (this from an American no less). That is exactly what made the episode (in my opinion) clumsy. Thanks for clarifying things for me. :-)
On the other hand, motocross outfit Doyle...SQUEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

I'm relatively new to Pros but I have seen WJ a few times, and I wholeheartedly agree with your points about the sensai scene - it makes me cringe all the way through. And, on a more shallow note, how could LC let them cover that lovely hair in someone's grandad's hanky? *g*

I enjoy the episode as a whole, and it's kind of a different dynamic for the lads, but I agree that it sometimes feels a bit clunky in this. I do love the motorcross scenes though, and I love Cowley's lunch with Bodie's girlfriend. I think there must be a lot of us women with Bodie-problems about :D

Thanks for such a thought-provoking summary!

That whole thing with the water gun still leaves me going WTF??? And punching the car door...? I know others just *love* this one but I'm never able to watch it without cringing. You and I need to slap palms a bit.. have just posted my review up and our reservations about this scene and Kate Ross are very similar. As is our enjoyment of the Doyle/Cowley scene.*g* I must admit that I find the Cowley/gun/Bodie scene awkward and unconvincing - but how much of that is because the writers, etc, have failed in what's gone before? Hmmm... shall wander away to ponder. Thank you, food for thought is always good.

Interesting point about Cowley's involvement in their lives. He knows alot more than they might think.

Thanks for sharing.
