I can't seem to finish anything this week

Rain delay on the bed, design problems with the shirts, ties and bedding half done, Jack's head arrived from China and *badly* repainted (needs repairs)... So in an attempt to finish *SOMETHING* this week...

okay - you should ALSO spray them with a fix. Ink jet inks are reactive to water (in bad ways) you can find acrylic sprays at your local art store.

In addition, you can use a high gloss cover stock of more than 100# (I have brand suggestion if you want them) These will generally work with most ink jet because they usually have post card weight settings and can handle such papers if they are essentially hand fed.

Spray and let dry in a ventilated area (I hang from a wire using mounted paper clips) Don't cut with sissors - the best way is a commercial cutter so they are all uniform - second best are arm cutters.

These are so, so tiny (less than an inch long) that the laser paper weight actually feels realistic/to scale - postcard weight would be waaaaay too thick.

I may try spraying/sealing them but they won't really get handled much so I'm not terribly concerned about the ink coming off on things - I keep all the inkjet projects in a box by themselves. Again, they are so tiny I'd have to find a brush on sealer - A spray would blow them everywhere...

I actually used an exacto knife and metal ruler - I couldn't get precise enough with a cutter, even with my craft cutter which is really, really precise.

Oh and you spray them BEFORE cutting, in your case I can understand why you used the xacto knife...

The fix spray works fab - it is colorless and simply prevents the ink from reacting to handling plus if you use a high gloss it will return your shine.

Oh, *before* cutting... Now *that* would work. I may try another set when I get some because it would be cool if they were glossy like the real things. I also thought I'd look around for a different printer paper that was still paper, but maybe glossy for photos or something. The problem with *that* is that those sorts of papers tend to be only on one side.

I can see that the fixed look on their faces will present quite a challenge - Especially in more *impassioned* tableau's. :-)

I'd tell her just to share but you can see how well *that* would go... If only I'd made it a King instead of a Queen...

The plaid is one side of the reversible beadspread (and accent pillows.) A scrap left over from my cousin's Catholic school uniform - I took them all and ripped them apart for sewing. I just love it.

Oh the contrariness of cats! Now, if you had set out to make a bed for Zelda, she would undoubtedly have refused to set paw on it and would have given you withering looks, as if to say "What could possibly have made you think I might like a bed?"
You have to love 'em! And she does look very possessive about it, doesn't she? Obviously, in her mind, you could only devote so much time and attention to creating something for her!
