Well, it was at least an *interesting* game tonight.  That's not to say we didn't take it up the ass with a blunt, splintery stick.  This is not going well.

It was much easier to be a Cubs fan when they would crap out after the all-star break. This playoffs business is way too stressful. Also, tickets were much easier to get.

Tell me about it! Although, I'm doing a pretty good job this time of not getting too emotionally involved... That last playoff really took the wind out of me and I'm still recovering. :::licksopenwound:::

That will all change though if this should suddenly start getting exciting in the next game - I'll get sucked right in if they suddenly start doing well.

I cried when the Red Sox won that pennant (I'm *such* a girl!) It was just the most wonderful, awesome thing... I was totally ecstatic for them. :-)

I feel a bit the fair-weather fan this year - I haven't even watched a game this season and don't know *any* of the players. Maybe that's why I'm feeling kind of unemotional about it all. I'm just thrilled we made the playoffs - I'm not overly ambitious. It would be nice if we *weren't* shut out, however. How humiliating.

From what the commentators have been saying, the Cubs and Diamondbacks are kind of apples and oranges in regards to skill and don't really compare so it's not an easy call about what's going to happen.
