It's from a single episode of Diagnosis Murder. They used to have these episodes where all the guest cast were related in some way...this was the "secret agent" episode, I remember one was a MASH episode with Klinger, tv & movie Margaret, Father Mulcahey & movie Trapper (I'm awful with names).
Oh, WOW! How cool! I'm *so* going to have to track that episode down and watch it! And the MASH episode sounds great too - I *love* that stuff. Now I wish I had watched Diagnosis Murder back then - It wasn't a show I ever had an interest in. :-(
Diagnosis Murder used to run on Saturday 6pm-ish on BBC2 I think, and it's now being rerun on weekday afternoons when Murder, She Wrote isn't on, or before it or something. It depends entirely on the episode who's in it (same as with Jessica Fletcher), but yes, that does seem impressive for the cast, though can't remember the names of 2-3 now. Well, okay, only remember one actor's name for sure, but I know I know 3 of them for sure and do recognize all the faces.
Looks like this episode was called "Discards" and was season 5, episode 10... Not out on DVD here yet, so I'll have to watch the tv schedules for a rerun.
Robert Culp = I-Spy, Greatest American Hero, etc. Barbara Bain = Mission Impossible, Space 1999, etc. Dick Van Dyke = non spy related (star of show) Patrick MacNee = The Avengers, etc. Robert Vaughn = UNCLE, etc.
Culp + Bain even more so were the names I couldn't have remembered. Seen both and Bain in more episodes, too, but still. Typically enough I wouldn't have remembered van Dyke's name though see him nearly every afternoon, and well know Patrick MacNee from wherever, too (first sighting in the Pretenders Don't Get Me Wrong Avengers themed video, though I hated the song/band back then and didn't have a clue what the heck it was supposed to be all about).
Vaughn is closest to my interests and if nothing else, remembered from Hustle. I think I was more of an Ilya Kuryakin girl as a kid.
