[Follows THIS by agentcampbell]Ali hit the number for Izzy's floor simultaneously to hitting 'send' on her cell phone to dispatch text message #21 of 'CALL ME' to James. The elevator doors swung closed behind her and she tapped her foot impatiently as she rode upwards to her friend's place. Iz didn't want to move. She hadn't moved since her parents had finally left and given her some goddamn peace. One more question regarding her supposed pregnancy and she would have been up for murder one.

The knocking was getting on her nerves though, so without taking the chain off her door she opened it and glared out. "What?" Then she blinked and processed it was Ali. Her jaw tightened and she dropped her gaze to the floor before she took off the chain and opened the door a little more. She didn't move aside though, or give any indication she was about to let Ali in.

Isabel looked a wreck, and she knew it. Red eyes from crying and messy hair from hiding in her bed. She sniffed as she wiped her nose on the back of her hand and cleared her throat. "Hey."

Ali wasn't stupid. She was far from stupid in fact. She knew when she was getting the cold shoulder and it caused her to take a step back in surprise. "James, he..." Called off your surprise party you had no clue about, she added silently. "What happened?" she asked cautiously.

Iz glanced over her shoulder like maybe she had something better to do than standing at the front door talking to her other best friend, but she didn't. She was just unjustifiably pissed off at Ali for making her keep a secret from James that had caused their biggest fight, and quite possibly the end of their friendship.

She rest her head against the edge of the door and let out a shuddering sigh. "I don't want to talk about it."

"You're going to have to," Ali said bluntly, trying to go straight to the point. "It's vital you do. You're just going to have to trust me on that." She figured now was an inappropriate time to do the 'I need to pee' dance, so she tried to focus on other things in hopes it would go away.
