I like it! You've certainly made me want to read more. If I could make just a teeny suggestion, though. You may want to adjust the lighting on some of the later pictures. I opened a few up in Photoshop so I could see them better. You've got some great set decor, but it's lost because of the darkness. I think you could still maintain the overall dark and oppressive quality while lightening it up just a smidge. I hope I've not offended. I really like this so far.
Thank you, both for reading and for letting me know that my pictures were too dark - they look bright on my screen, but my screen is probably just ridiculously bright, since I've never bothered to adjust it.
I'm not offended at all, I always appreciate constructive criticism and suggestions. I probably should have mentioned that somewhere...
And thank you for the compliment on the set decor - building and designing have always been a weak spot for me, so I'm glad to hear that you liked it, and the story. I'm going to edit the pictures to make them brighter and then unlock this, then.
I really like this!! It seems fresh to me, because I never played Sims 2 so I'm always not entirely sure what I'll see next xD From what I've heard and seen, Sims 2 seems to have a greater freedom when it comes to storytelling because of mods and such. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next in the story!
Thank you for still reading even after the previous fail on mulder.
I can't say for absolutely certain whether or not TS2 is better than TS3 because I have spent a minimal amount of time playing TS3, but TS2 has tonnnnnssss of mods, hacks, custom content, etc, and even though I really like the personality traits from TS3 and would kill to have them in TS2, TS2 just works better (for me).
Having you be unfamiliar with the Maxis pre-mades will certainly work in my favor - in the original draft of this, I was trying so hard to make things suspenseful and to keep identities hidden that I was referring to characters by these strenuously obscure names and it just sounded absurd. TS2 players are going to be too familiar with the characters for that to work, and it just wrecked havoc on the writing.
But at least I'll be able to surprise you. Hopefully.
Is it still just the last few with Bella, or is it all of them? It is really hard for me to tell, because I did edit the last handful and they look daylight bright on my screen, and the first few with Buzz and Olive look okay to me, too. At any rate, I'll make sure from now on to make more liberal use of lighting just to be safe (and I'll go back over everything here until I get it right).
Thank you for reading and for the kind words (and the friend add)! I'll try to get Chapter One out soon.
Well, it was, until I found out it was wrong. I don't know what's going on with me and that word, I had it as "Emperor" for ages, somehow came to the conclusion that it was wrong (and was thankful that nobody had seen it) and now it actually is wrong and I've gone and shown everyone. Thanks for alerting me, I better fix that.
But anyway, thank you for reading! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Heh, I hate the feeling I get when I've spent sooo much time on something, only to realize a horrible mistake later on, then having to go back and fix everything xD
You've essentially described my life. But at least this one got caught early on (thanks again), and I was lazy enough from the beginning to mostly just use EOTD.
Well, you know Bella's vastly underrepresented in the fandom...
Lyla Grunt, Darlene Dreamer, and Skip Broke will also be dealt with, though. I'm trying to work with dead characters who don't get much attention. Rainelle Neengia and the House of Fallen Trees, too, although I wouldn't consider her neglected.
Thank you for reading, and as far as "creepy" goes, I'm glad to hear it. I was worried that I was being too heavy handed or cliched.
Oh, I'd LOVE to see what you do with Darleen! In my own game I always toy with the story line of Darren finding out it's possible to resurrect her and him struggling with the decision to do it or not, but I can never manage to put together a coherent story line. Maybe you can. :)
I love that story idea! For me, the Dreamers aren't the most exciting pre-mades out there, and in my efforts to give them a place in the story, poor Darren is really having a hard time in my 'hood, and Darleen (wow, my spelling is really besmirching me lately) isn't going to make things any easier for him.

Great start! :)
(I'd politely agree with reggikko abut the picts tho.You are clearly putting a lot of effort on them, but they are a tad too dark too see them well)

I am a bit confused about the title, however.
Is the spelling, Emporer, intentional? @__@
