Eerie and atmospheric, and beautifully written and illustrated! I'm really curious to know what's going to happen next to poor Rainelle... looks like she's in for some serious trouble.
I'm loving this. The look and feel are amazing. You're both making me want to try playing Rule of Rose again and making me want to try playing the Tricous for the first time.
I can't help wondering if you were ever part of the Rule of Rose Mysteries blog, since it seems to be a big inspiration to you. If you've never been there, I encourage looking it up. PN, the owner, hasn't posted a new entry in a long time, but looking through the old discussions is still fascinating stuff. I don't think I've ever found another game that prompted so much interesting conversation, and I loved being a small part of it, even if I was occasionally traumatized by the darkest stuff. (I'm weak.)
I am familiar (and very thankful for) with Rule of Rose Mysteries, but I've never contributed anything to it.
I did used to own a Rule of Rose forum (The Filth Room), and still occasionally write fan fiction for it. I'd love to talk about it with you, if you're ever interested/bored, because clearly my obsession with it is going nowhere.
I'm still trying to decide where the exact location they're travelling to is going to be. I'm willing to do the airship, but I'm still on the fence about whether or not there's anything else I can do that would be more unique to Rainelle, or the Tricous. As soon as I settle on something, I can do Chapter 4. Outside of the precise location, I have everything else ready to go.
Thank you, again! I hope you do give the Tricous/Rainelle a chance. I've grown incredibly attached to them since beginning this story.
Oh, sure! I'm happy to discuss stuff with you. I have heard of The Filth Room forum, probably on RoR Mysteries, but I can't remember if I ever went there. My early experiences with Rule of Rose are a bit blurry because I was honestly traumatized by one particular line of discussion. (It has to do with the peas and whether they were eaten. I'm being vague partly because I still don't like thinking about it and partly because I don't know what you're going to have in the story and I don't want to spoil anything for people who aren't familiar with the inspiration

"Serious trouble" sounds about right, although she's not the only one who is in for some terrible suffering.
