WTF?

It's articles like this that make me weep for the human race.

Be warned, the article contains graphic descriptions of rape, and will probably make you want to slam your head into the nearest wall.

I didn't know whether I should cry or go on a homicidal rampage.

women's rights, wtf, rape

I really don't know. I would have never guessed that PA would have laws that prevent an expert to testify at a rape trial about the alleged victim's behavior.

I read this article, and I immediately sent it to my best friend who lives in the Philly area. Just in case this guy manages to get off again, I want her to know who he is, because sadly, I could easily see her becoming another one of his victims.

I just don't get it. The jurors seriously thought that 10 women came forward, got through the ordeal of a trial and told complete strangers all the gory details because of revenge and because "he lied about his job". The Fuck?!? They couldn't see that this SOB has a pattern and is dangerous. How can people not even have an ounce of compassion for fellow human beings. The mind boggles.

It is so frightening that so many people have these preconceptions about what constitutes rape. The fact that these women intially wanted to go on a date with him was given as a reason why he couldn't have raped them. Oh, and because they had a drink. If they were "good" girls they would have never agreed to meet him at a bar/restaurant. I mean, for heaven's sake, almost ANY date involves getting liquid refreshment at SOME point. If these women and had only drunk Diet Coke he would have spiked that!

My heart just goes out to these women who were so courageous and have had their hearts ripped out by these moronical jurors.

And you know, I went to law school, and I believe everyone is entitled to a defense, but I don't know how that guy's attorney can live with himself because so many of his arguements are just OFFENSIVE and only further convince women that coming forward after being raped is a waste of time.
