War is over

OMG.

I'm going to DC in about two hours FOR MY FIRST EVER PEACE MARCH, OMGWTFBBQ. 100,000+ people expected, first time Northeast Tennesseeans have gone to a DC protest since the war started.

*waves signs and dances*

Oh! My mom and I almost went to that. Some people in our town organized some buses to take people down and back. But... we didn't go. I forget why. *scratches head*

I did. ^_^ I'm sad you couldn't come. How far from the capital are you? We drove nine hours...and we didn't sleep, we left on midnight Friday and got back four AM Sunday...but it was still fun.

Yeah, we're about nine hours, too, and that's just about exactly what our whirl-wind trip would have looked like, had we chosen to take it. As disappointed as I am to have missed the protest, I'm not sorry to have missed the necessary travel time... ^__^

Just moved away from D.C., otherwise I would have been there.

I do have to take issue with the idea that it's the first real protest - you clearly didn't see us on Inauguration Day 2004, or in the spring of 2005, when just as many marched on Washington.

Had to give kudos to previous protestors. Sorry.

I did! And it was really awesome. You would have loved it. Su bought a giant rainbow flag that said "Peace" across it and I wore it as a cape. XD
