The lay eucharistic minister at my church, who also happens to be a priest in training, took me out to supper at the Indian restaurant with her girlfriend, ordered a Merlot, offered to watch "The L Word" with us, and lent me a Rita Mae Brown book about growing up gay.
I am so in love with my church.
episcopalians,
being out,
bisexuality,
queer,
amusement

But it's so amazingly abso-bloody-lutely splendiforously awesome to know that, if I ever wanted to be a deacon or priest or even maybe a bishop, I could, and it wouldn't matter how gay I happened to be feeling that day, or what gender I was born--just what I'm really like on the inside. That...makes me happy beyond all reason. XD XD XD

Yesyesexactly! XD At least, the ones we have around here. I must totally pass on that description...
And I will reiterate what Rosie said above that our new cute middle-aged lesbian couple are the CUTEST THING EVAR. Painfully adorable, really.
Also, this week's hanging about at St Chris's (with the straights, who are almost as cool) brought the newest superhero on the block: MagnifiCat, the mascot of choirs everywhere..... *giggles, flees from the cute*
