Thank God you're all right! I hope the insurance and injury mess isn't... too much of a mess for you. I got into an accident back in January, actually... but we ended up getting a car I liked more, so sometimes it works out for the best!
Yay! I get to help pick out the new car (my dad's weird logic; I crashed the old one, so I should help pick the new one--O.o), so I can try and find a l33t one. ^.^
Yeah, I took a lot of Tylenol and drank tea the evening of the accident, and I still woke up with achy shoulders and painnnn!!!1 But hey, this way I can get pain&angst settlements from the insurance company. ^.^ Or whatever the technical term is.
Dave and I are glad to hear you guys are both ok! Stinks about the car, but cars are replaceable, people are not. I hope the insurance issues aren't too much of a headache
( ... )
We've had three different insurance companies call us about eight times each in the past three days. :) Not to mention sundry worried family members, and etc.
My mum still needs to get a facial CT scan, and I want to see a doctor for mild headaches which may be a neck injury. And yes, we're going to get pain and injury settlements. We took a picture of my mum the day after the accident and are going to spam them with it and say "Give us money for this!" So, yeah. :)
Oo, shiny! My mum thinks we may be able to get a friend's old minivan, though, which has better mileage and more seats. The car we crashed was a '96 Pontiac Sunfire in excellent condition with only 32,000 miles on it (it was my grandma's car for nine years), so we should get a reasonable amount to spend on a shiny new(ish) car. And I get to help pick it out, yay! ^_^
N'thing the Glad you're okay sentiment. It would be terrible of something terrible happened to you. And that didn't make much sense. My brother would ramble on about insurance and suing and stuff you have to do because your car is ded. It would probably be good advice, but alas, I never paided any attention to what he said when he went off on his rambles.
No, I don't want to sue him! :( He was only about eighteen, and he felt really bad about the whole thing. It was an honest mistake. Besides which, I'm Canadian; we don't do mean things like that. :) We're slowly figuring out the insurance, but our agent is really nice because she made sure we got a rental car for free when we didn't know they offered that, and stuff.
