There's a Charles, sitting in his favourite armchair, reading a book. Pages turn as a clawed finger very carefully moves them.

Boo is a sneaky ninja. Everyone already knows this. Which is why no explanation is necessary for why there is a small toddler in Charles' immediate proximity.

She is currently Being Sneaky, though, which is why he probably doesn't hear her. She's sneeeeeeaking up on him. And then pops out from behind the armchair. "Boo!"

Boo has a short attention span. Which is why, even though she enjoys books, her attention is drawn to the yummy smelling cookies. She turns around in his lap and points.

"OOOOOK!" Which, in this case, most certainly means 'look' and not 'book'.

"Would you like one?"

More than willing to share. Sweets for everyone!

Oh yes, she would most definitely like one. This is evidenced by the fact that there are two of the cookies already in her mouth.

Yummy cookies.

Coookiiiiiiiiiie.

Well then Charles shall just have to have one too.

Boo grins at him and babbles and muches on her cookies.

"uice?"

"oose," he repeats, and frowns. As much as his anatomy will let him, anyway.

"Hmm." It sounds rather more like a far-away rumble of thunder than a musing sound.

She pouts.

"'uice?" she asks again hopefully.

Carefully, Charles sets aside the book. "'oose," he mumbles again. ..."'ooce. ...'uice?"

Not goose. Not loose.

DING.

"Would you like something to drink?

Boo looks at him with a mournful expression as he fumbles through words.

When he gets around to the right one her whole expression LIGHTS UP and she nods her head! Yes! Exactly!

Hey. He may be able to speak a large number of languages, but that list does not include toddler.

"And what type of juice do you want, ma petit chou?"

"'ple!" She bounces a little. YAY COMMUNICATION AND JUICE!

"As the lady commands. Now up," arms nearly as big as she is swing Boo into the air and they both rise out of the chair. "We have to go ask Mme Bar for your juice. I'm afraid the waitrats are not very fond of me."

Boo gigglesquees as she's lifted up and carried over to Bar.

"'uice 'uice 'uice 'uice 'uuuuuuuuuuuuuuice!" She sings and babbles all at the same time!

"Absolutely lovely, dear. You should think about joining the Opera. Apple juice and tea, Mme Bar."

A sippy cup and a teacup appear on the surface. Charles sits on a stool and perches Boo on his knee with one hand around her waist.
