Lydia cheeks immediately reddened
"Edgar! Be a little restrained, won't you..."
"Even though I have been unbelievably restrained with you until now?"
Ahh... at that...
"But, Lydia! I have been terribly restrained with you for so long, I worry that you will think that I do not have enough passion. If you wish, I will gladly you show you how passionate I am for you right now."
"Well, that... um.. you don't need to tell me...?"
Stepping backwards quickly, just as Lydia was about to move away, Edgar caught her wrist.
"That was just a suggestion. However, if you are not able to wait till the wedding day itself, I hope you won't hesitate and come to me."
"Ah, I don't think..."
"You can't say it? Then, if you feel this way, would it be a problem if I invite you into my bedroom every night?"
How can you so calmly say such improper things?! Like always, Lydia could not tell if Edgar was joking or being serious.
Flustered, Lydia immediately stepped backwards.
"Honestly! I thought that when we get married, we would've heard the last of you incessant sweet-talk! But now, you're already making advances about not being able to wait till the wedding."
"Oh, just give it a rest!" Nico muttered.
"I can't help it. It's like a hobby."
"Ah? So it was a hobby..."
"But please be assured, Lydia, as I have decided that you are the only one I'll make advances to for the rest of my life."
What? You're saying... it'll be like this for my whole life??
"My sympathies." In a flash, Nico disappeared, abandoning Lydia.
"Wait, wait a minute, Edgar! We have just recently gotten engaged. Still, I'm not accustomed to having two people staying together, also, since we have not publicly announced our marriage, being too intimate is unacceptable, don't you think so?"
When in the presence of no one but her and Edgar, Lydia will feel a little uneasy.
Kisses and blatant stares were something Lydia cannot escape from.
Although it is normal for lovers to be close and often kiss each other, Lydia, however, does not know how to react when in the presence of Edgar being intimate.
When two lovers are together, just what manner of intimacy is considered appropriate?
Going stiff before Edgar has kissed or hugged her, it's impossible for Lydia to look straight at Edgar's face without being embarrassed.
"Uhn, regarding our engagement - it will be announced after your debut into society."
Eh?
"Debut?"
After the publishing of our marriage, will I not be able to avoid Edgar's kisses anymore?

"Unless, my debut - !!"
"Indeed. To pay respect to the Queen and to formally debut into society."
"What are you saying?! You can't make such an important decision so easily! Have you forgotten that I'm not of aristocratic birth?? I obviously am not permitted to do so in front of such grand audience during my debut!"

Smiling gently at the flustered Lydia, he repeated -
"There's always a way."
Lydia then shook her head firmly.
"No, this is just ridiculous."
How will Father cope with this sort of slander?!
"Your father is a graduate of Cambridge, and is now a professor at the University of London. Although he is not of aristocratic birth, however, when viewed in occupational terms - he can easily be identified as a noble."
For Lydia, this so called high status profiles, suddenly sounded very daunting to her.
"Wouldn't it shame you if the me who have not debuted have already been engaged to you?
Edgar frowned.
"Wouldn't it better if you are wed off with some noble lady?"
Although Lydia knew what she said was wrong, she could not help but be discouraged.
About half an hour ago, Earl Constable has confronted Edgar over the matter of marriage.
With no appointment from Earl Constable - Edgar was a little irritated at how the Earl demanded that he marries his daughter.
"You must be held responsible for this, Earl Edgar!"
