AN: As I continue to trudge my way through the very long time-skip story, here’s a short, traditional mission taking place during the time-skip.

Disclaimer: The PPC is the creation of Jay and Acacia.  All Minis belong to their respective continua.  “Quest for Identity” is the property of MegaKitty.  Lord of the Rings is the genius creation of J.R. ( Read more... )

Oddly enough, I was bothered by the issue of Aragorn's age more than anything. I'm not sure why, considering all else that was wrong with the fic.

Disruptions of the space-time continuum can never be a good thing, even if it's one's personal nemesis who is trapped.

Maybe because it's the one thing that can't be explained by normal means? I mean, they state it specifically in the movies, so it can't be the typical Suethor research failure.

It was more than twenty years since Gandalf had first brought her here. He remembered it well. He was barely in his tweens when he’d woken up one night at Bag End to the sound of voices and a crying infant…

This part, independent of its context, made me envision a Gandalf barely in his tweens. Damn you, pronouns! Damn you!

Ahh, it's still so satisfying when another Sue kicks the bucket. A round of applause for the CAD stepping in to take down the charges. My agents' CADs are never that friendly or obliging. If Isaiah had asked a similar favor, his CAD would probably just vomit left angle brackets in his direction.

I can't wait to find out what temporal shenanigans are happening in that unfortunate section of PPC HQ. Thanks for sharing this mission with us!
