Checking in...

Agent Quen sighed and pushed open the door to Room 221B. It had taken her a good half-hour to find the office--record time as far as she was concerned--and her arms hurt from carrying her box of Useful Items. She wondered vaguely if she was going to have to give people directions in her new job as secretary in the Department of Personnel. She hoped ( Read more... )

((Irvine, you are not allowed to harass people using my name.

I: Aw, not harassing! Greeting! Being friendly! Not that you would know anything about that.

...Fine, but if you start being obnoxious, you're getting kicked off the computer, pronto.

I: SIR, YES SIR!

I'm going to regret this...))

Irvine was happening along down the hallway quite cheerfully. While most people found it difficult to get around Headquarters, he found it to be quite simple. It had something to do with the fact that he habitually paid absolutely no attention to where he was going. Therefore, he inevitably ended up where he needed to be amazingly quickly ( ... )

Agent Quen blushed slightly. Even if she was madly interested in high fantasy, she still wasn't used to being addressed as "fair lady". It wasn't something you got a lot of when you were killing Star Trek 'Sues.

"Nope, not a new agent," she replied after a moment. "New to this department, though. Two years of 'Sue slaying was enough for me." She looked the agent up and down. Longish red hair, cowboy fashion sense. Interesting. No patch on the sleeve...

"How are things in the DIA these days?" she asked innocently.

((Errr, you don't have to write Irvine's reactions...I'd do that if you'd just give me a chance, which I'd muchly prefer. Sorry, I'm an old RPer, and the rules associated with such stick to me... Not that you have Irvine wrong, except that he would probably end with 'Same old, same old'. ;) Also, on a fairly pointless note, he did mean 'new agent on the block' as in, new to the place, not a new agent entirely. ;) ))

((Aha. I did wonder about that--giving Irvine reactions and such. I think it may work out easier if I stick to writing this as a LJ--in other words, writing from Quen's first-person perspective. But thanks...such experience as I have with these things is along the lines of stories, in which one writes everybody's lines, and not RPGs. I shall keep your comments in mind. :D Thanks. ))
