I recently read a book by John Ashdown-Hill about the last days of Richard III, who died in battle on August 22, 1485. In it, he also traces what happened to Richard's body after the battle. He was buried in Greyfriars (Franciscan) priory in Leicester. Most books report that his body was dug up and thrown in the River Soar at the dissolution of ( Read more... )

I KNOW!!!!! And it's only, what, a few weeks ago that I was wishing I had enough money to fund a dig to test his theory, and THEY TESTED HIS THEORY AND HE WAS RIGHT ( ... )
