My respect for the man has just shot up about a million points; That he wouldn't sacrifice work on the show when most of us would promptly be booking tickets back home just.....guh. I'm going to be all weepy when I watch that now and be forever wondering at which point he found out and how much of his performance is genuine grief.

He's a helluvan'actor, let me tell you. You wouldn't have known anything was amiss watching that performance.
