I have never heard so much garbage in my life.

I read through the first page and was all...WTF? Do these people even know what they're talking about? And why the hell would I need a program to do what can essentially be done with a notebook and a pen?

Hah, my last two nanovels I wrote as stuff came to me. It was more or less in chronological order but sometimes? Something later came first and so I just stuck it about where I figured it'd end up and went on my merry.

But I'm not trying to get published. Haven't been published. Whichever. :)

Oh, it's not so much the getting published bit that irks me. It's the way they treat the writing itself, like it's a set formula that cannot be deviated from or millions of tiny babies will die horrible deaths, but hey! They can save the babies, so deviate!

Basically, what I got out of that site? Is that they claim their program is the "cure" to what is really a natural creation process.

Not to mention that anyone truly serious about writing would be able to do 90% of all the stuff the program supposedly facilitates on their own.

ETA: I just realized they make no mention of the hours that will be needed for the editing process. Just because you write it, doesn't mean it'll be publish-worthy right then and there. And also? People that believe all the "process" stuff? Are getting in their own way, because there is no set process. The way you approach writing is different from how I approach writing is different from how Jag approaches writing, etc...Anyway, I have to go write stuff now, so I'll stop ranting ;)

I think we've talked before about writing/watching things out of order or not? Yeah... I never write stories in order. Ever. Who says you need software to put all your notes in the same file??? That's what Microsoft Word is for!! (Or, Notepad, if you so choose.) That entire page is such... bull. LOLOL.
