Hey Cat!

[Your story broke LJ's comment-machine. It won't let me post it because it's too long. So you get your own post. All to yourself. *headdesk* And I thought that River/Obi was bad in the length department. And this isn't exactly what you requested down below, but it's as close as I could get with the request you made on AIM last night ;) Enjoy!]

Nic? I think I love you.

No wait. I KNOW I love you!

The way you started was amazing. The whole insight into his mind (which you ended up tieing into the conclusion quite wonderfully as well) was so attention grabbing. The pictures you paint with words have yet to be matched in my eyes.

The interactions were wonderful. Thank you so much for keeping her character. :)

Question though? Is the ceremony at the end a wedding ceremony or just a "I love you so I'm telling you" ceremony?

Course if you think about it, a wedding is a "I love you so I'm telling you" ceremony....BUT anyways...

I miss you and I get off work around 5 my time tomorrow (8 your time) so hopefully I get to see you!

I LOVE YOU LIKE I'M BLIND!

*hugs* Glad you liked it! It's always risky when writing someone else's OC.

And no, the ceremony isn't a wedding ceremony per se. I had this 'omg how do i get chocolate into this without losing the tone???' spaz out and had this revelation: what if she came from a culture that had these ceremonies that said different things?

Like, in Obi-Wan's instance, if you wanted to communicate that you loved them but couldn't do anything about it - i.e. couldn't commence a physical relationship as per the Jedi Code - the ceremony would be one way and the things you recited and promised would be very specifically worded in one way, whereas if you loved them and wanted to see where things went, it would be slightly different with the set-up and the words and promises spoken would be something different, as well, etc.

Does that make sense?

(It's sorta like the difference between "I LOVE YOU LIKE I'M BLIND" and "Will you marry me?" ;) *ducks and hides*]And yay! Provided I'm coherent enough and not in the middle of watching a movie, I'll be ( ... )
