When Goblins Attack

Well, the day after New Years Day and I'm already ready for another holiday!  No I didn't stay up 'till all hours drinking myself silly.  But I had a lovely evening with my darling mother and sweet boyfriend (musegryph ) to end the old and bring in the new.

So my Brian Froud "Goblins" calendar says that yesterday is New Fears Day where all the goblins ( Read more... )

You go, Daimon! I was just grumbling to myself the other day that I never did get to read the rest of your "Immortals," several chapters of which you dangled tantalizingly before my sister and me a while back! So when do I get to read this dragon book? No pressure, of course, I'm just dying for an actual good book to distract kids with while I wrench Eragon out of their hands to throw it away!

Huzzah for your plan for authoring a decent teen book featuring dragons! (I can only wonder if you'll find some way to work kobolds in for a cameo appearance in your world.) We certainly need something decent with dragons to put on the shelves. You do know that your teen Dragon Boy at the library will be your biggest fan (besides me), don't you? And we thought he was a problem before!

Blame the goblins! (Hey, at least it's more believable than Garl Glittergold made me do it.)

And here's to ending the old and bringing in the new, together! Thanks for sharing the evening with me, spitfire mine.

Well, I didn't get any writing done today -- Instead I spent most of the day curled up in bed with stomach pains. Hmmm... must have been something I ate. I'm feeling better now. Instead of writing I've been reading The Golden Compass in hopes of finishing the series before my Milton class in a couple of weeks where we will certainly be covering Paradise Lost (which Pullman's series is loosely based on).

Thanks for all the support, you guys! I don't plan on quitting this new idea any time soon. I think I'll probably be able to get some work done on it tomorrow, my stomach willing.

Glad you had an enjoyable New Year's Eve/Day holiday time season type thing!

I would certainly like to read a decent teen book of dragons, should you so write one (and should I so one day get time to actually read, again)

Best of luck with the pictures!
