we normally stay away from live recordings because the sound is usually off, but mike said this one was damn near perfect.

Cool records. I think I have all the Velvet Underground studio albums, plus a few of their outtakes and live albums.

The live stuff off of "1969 Live" (which I call the "underalls" album) is definitely worth a listen, especially for the slow, moody version of "Sweet Jane" that probably inspired the Cowboy Junkies version, and the endless jamming on "What Goes On".
