Well, I had my first exam today, and I think it went ok. The practical bone-identification bit went fairly well, but I could have done better on the written portion. Ah well, at least I got a good mark on my paper, once again proving that I do my best work when I'm semi-incoherent. My next exam is on Monday. Unfortunately, I have to work all ( Read more... )

re: Chocolates - A-ha! Moving in on my territory, are you? Actually, those almonds sound rather yum. If your experiments work, they would make great gifts, hint hint hint.

You can usually get caramels at SuperStore or Save-on, toss 'em in a saucepan and put it on low (I think they would dry up an burn like chocolate if you try to melt them too quickly).

*double boiler*

You don't need a real double boiler, just boil a pot of water, then melt the caramel or chocolate in a saucepan (or whatever) that fits over the pot of boiling water. Its dead easy, and then they won't burn.
