If/when I ever become a parent, here are some things to remember about my kid(s):

1. Know them
2. Trust them with age appropriate things
3. Don't nag excessively. (It doesn't work)
4. Find out what's happening in their lives. Make an effort to remember it.
5. Remember that God will always take care of them.
