Arg, the miwitch sizing is slightly frustrating. They have small, medium, and large sizes, but the problem is I have a large bust, and a small waist. So I would either have to deal with it being too tight in the bust and then slightly too big in the waist, or fine on the bust but way too big on the waist >__<. So then I could just order a size ( Read more... )

As for Miwitch, it seems like you already have a plan buy I'm gonna weigh in (no pun intended XD) anyway~ I'm sure you saw that a lot of them offer custom sizes. I would either buy one that fits in the bust and then have a seamstress take in the waist (sometimes you get enough extra fabric to make some little bows or a headress X3), or get one custom made (in general, it seems like they don't charge that much more for custom sizing). As popular as it seems to be to buy lolita clothes that are too small as "thinspiration", all the normal-clothes stylists always say to buy clothes that fit your body NOW... you can always have them altered if you lose weight~ :D

It's pretty epic that you have your shopping planned out, but at least you HAVE a plan XD I'm self employed, so I don't have a paycheck at all... but I do have a credit card... You can imagine how that's gone for me >_>;;;

If you have time, take art commissions on egl or something~ Your lolita pieces are soooo cute, I'm sure people would commission you!

Yeah, but those professional stylists have clients that can afford alterations xD
And rather than epic, I think I would call it my shopoholic problem that need professional attention, lol.
I think I will take some commissions from egl, now that I am getting better at photoshop. Maybe I will try to sell some jewelry too...
How are you self-employed?

True, true. I dunno though, I've had stuff altered for under $20 and it turned out awesome XD Like this Bodyline outfit that was way small in the bust~

Shopaholics unite~ I think I may end up getting that Rose Toilette set I posted earlier... NEED TO CONSERVE MONIES...

As for being self-employed... I have my own small business:
http://www.funnybento.com & http://community.livejournal.com/funnybento/

It's a little slow right now -_- I need to write up some new auctions for inventory that's been piling up in the basement, get the home-made section running, and poke all my bloggers into writing XD

We just went live in July, and I've been busy with school... Over the break I'm hoping to really get things going XD Haven't lost any money so far, so I feel pretty good about it lol.

Ah I see. I've never really had anything altered so I guess I didn't know the real prices. But I think i'll just do the custom measurements from miwitch.
Oh man, how much will that set cost? The most i've ever paid for a lolita dress was $150, and I really don't think I could ever convince myself to pay more xD, i'm such a cheapskate.
Ooh neat, do you just resell stuff? I want to be self-employed!
