Spoiled by the Movies

In 1982 I was in junior high school. We would order pizza to school on a regular basis. We would not do so in a disruptive way. We'd usually order one for lunch. We'd only order to class if we had permission. Now, I'm not saying that I was a perfect kid. I'm sure that I disrupted class in other ways--just not with pizza deliveries. Yeah... I would not put the word "innocent" anywhere near you.

Now Sean Penn is inspiring young people to come to Alaska and perish in the wilderness.

At least it gives us something to read in the local papers.

I haven't seen the movie yet. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt, though. I think that he's helping with natural selection by encouraging the stupid to be stupid. Tricky stuff!

If I wasn't staying after school for theater or debate, I was staying after just to hang out with the people playing hackeysack or ultimate frisbee. You get quite an appetite. :-)
