i live in san francisco now-- i have an apartment in a warehouse that i share with artists, circus folk, bombed out dot-commers and mathmeticians--- i have a gravel fenced in parking lot as my backyard and the city of san francisco as my front--- its awesome

One word of advice from someone who buys groceries for themselves quite often is: Don't buy perishables (i.e. milk, lettuce, etc.) until you KNOW you are going to use them, otherwise it is a waste of money and you just have to clean up the rotten mess later.
However, I would suggest purchasing large amounts of non-perishables snack foods. I prefer trail mix.
I really should be on a nickolodeon or pbs show with the advice I just gave you. None the less, it is usefull.
