I'm going to the AG: Los Angeles store today, where I will be bringing home Cecile! I'm super excited about that. But I have about $40 extra and I'm trying to decide what to use it on. I'm torn between these:
This probably isn't helpful, but I always like to browse around in-store and see what grabs my eye -- which is almost always something different than I'd picked out on the website. ;-)
Personally, I'd go for the violin set. It's really nice, very detailed and well-proportioned; if I used my AG (Addy) for display at all instead of solely for play, I'd've picked it up at some point. But Josefina's birthday outfit is adorable too; I love the ruffled camisa and the ribbons on the skirt, and I like that even though both parts are white, it is a proper skirt-and-camisa, not a one-piece dress with sash. :D
I just got that dress! That said, and as pretty as I think it is, I'd eyeball the violin set in the store to see whether you can fiddle with it in person on one of the displays. It looks like it would be fun to play with, you know?
So that's getting my vote, but I'm curious to see if you wind up with door #3.
I did get the violin set even though I couldn't play with it in the store. The detail is amazing, but the main problem is that the doll can't hold it on her own. I'm going to need to get some of those little clear rubber bands to assist.
